The Travelling Camera Obscura
Large vehicles, such as a motor home, bus and truck, have been converted into walk-in, sit-down, travelling camera obscura which move about the city or which may be parked in various sites in the spirit of a travelling carnival show.

Golf cart, wood, glass, artificial grass
A golf cart was converted into a traveling camera obscura. Lenses in three of the wall sides and the ceiling produced views on three walls and the floor inside the wooden box on the cart. The audience could enter the cart and be driven around campus. Built during a workshop while Artist in Resident, Stanford University Department of Art as part of an Institute for Creativity and the Arts (SiCa) Grant, Center for Arts, Science and Technology (CAST).
Tamworth by Bus, 1996
In 1994, a 26’ motor home converted into a pinhole camera traveled to 10 sites in 10 days (Upwardly Mobile Home sponsored by the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Ft. Dodge, Iowa, USA. June,1994).
Another conversion took place in a removalist’s truck in Dubbo in November 1995 (The Dubbo Removalist) and in Tamworth (Tamworth by Bus) in May 1996 (possible through the New South Wales Ministry for the Arts Women and Art Scholarship). For the Tamworth Regional Gallery exhibition, the bus was also used as a large camera to photograph the city.
