Selections from the series Café Gnomonics

16x22in  or 22x16in

Digital prints, acrylic

In Café Gnomonics, the movement of shadows is recorded at regular intervals:  by day over lunch in Rome, London, Sichuan and Sydney, coffee in Berlin, brunch in Shanghai and drinks in Seattle – and by moonlight in Shenzhen and Grand Coulee.  (Gnomonics is the art or science of constructing sundials; the gnomon is the shadow caster by which time is indicated).  The artist brings her own tablecloths.
